Green Lighting and LED

LED’s are considered GREEN (environmentally friendly) for many reasons.

LED’s contain no mercury, unlike its counterpart the High Intensity Discharge (HID) lamps. Also, LED lights are compliant with the Restriction of Hazardous Substances. They are designed to deliver more than ten years of service that is maintenance free, which means less waste since you do not have to replace the bulb. If a HID lamp was replaced every 2 years, it would cause a negative ripple effect on our environment. Since they contain mercury, you have to be worried about proper disposal of the HID lamp. If LED’s are being used, imagine the powerful and positive effects that using their technology can have on our pocketbook, our environment and our planet!
